For me, the happiest place on Earth isn’t Disney World, it’s Club Med. Specifically, Club Med in the ‘80s. When I was a kid, we went to the Club Meds in Eleuthera, Bahamas (twice), as well as Cancun and Huatulco, Mexico. There’s a utopian magic about the Club Med experience that’s equal parts glittering ocean, coconut-scented sex, and gently swaying palm trees. Add copious amounts of deeply tanned European glamour and a buffet with chilled shrimp on ice, and that’s basically Club Med. 🌴 These photos are all from an incredible Tumblr photo bog by urdarntootin, who used to be a G.O.
